Tropical ants

My ants collection. Please correct me if you come across any ID mistakes :)

A bunch of Polyrhachis armata - (ID credit: Stephane De Greef)  ants with pupae, in between two leaves. Found them after a rather heavy downpour.

  1. Superb collections! I rarely can get shots of ants...as they never stood stil. Can't imagine how you cahse them with the tipod on..You are one great Sifu!

  2. Thank you, M.A.Muin. Most of them weren't moving much, or completely still, even :D. Some indeed never stopped moving though. I just tracked them in my viewfinder and whenever they paused for a brief while I'd just fire away and hope for a in-focus shot.
